A Birthday Present to Myself!

My birthday was last weekend, so I made a birthday present to myself.  Ha!  Have you ever done that before?  Why not?  At least you'll get exactly what you want, right?  The pearl chain was handmade by yours truly.  I love this little angel with rhinestone bling attached.  She's my new best friend.  Happy Birthday to Me!

You can see more of my handmade jewelry at www.madebyjimmisdaughter.etsy.com.  What can be better?  I love to stamp and make jewelry!  I'm a happy girl!

A Small Business-Card Birthday Card

Hello!  I've been doing a little more stamping, so I thought I would share another one of my "business-card-sized" cards with you.  This is the latest - an adorable birthday cake card for a friend who has a birthday tomorrow.  Isn't it cute?  The cake is coated with Crystal Effects (which I was horrified to learn that Stampin' Up! no longer carries.  WHAT?  That was an amazing product and I don't get that logic at all!)  I'm in love with these little cards, so I'm sure you'll be seeing more.  I like them because they're different - not what someone would be expecting - so I think that makes them fun!  I love the two rows of embossed buttons at the bottom, along with the frilly flower and a pearl.  Have a good day and we'll talk soon!

I've Been Stamping Today!

Hello to my blogger friends!  Believe it or not, I've been stamping today!  Even though the cards are tiny - they're only 3-1/2 x 2 - I think they turned out so cute and I've had a lot of fun making them this morning.  I consider myself to be one lucky gal because I enjoy making jewelry AND stamping, both of which are incredible creative outlets.  I get up every day and decide whether I want to make a piece of jewelry or make a beautiful card!  Making jewelry has won out lately because it's a new hobby for me and I'm still learning so much about it, but today, I wanted to make cards!  Thought you might enjoy seeing what I did.  Isn't it pretty?  It opens up so you can write your message inside.  Now my mind is racing with the possibilities of "tiny" Halloween cards, Thanksgiving cards, and Christmas cards.  I'm really attracted to the smallness of this card - it's the size of a business card - but it takes just as much time as a regular-sized card.  Adios - have a good night!
