Pretzel Turtles

Don't these look wonderful?  Well, THEY ARE!  I served these at my Demo Day meeting last Sunday and everyone wanted the recipe.  They're super-easy, they make a bunch, and they're bite-sized  - which can be a problem!  Ha!  You'll want to pop one in your mouth each time you walk in the kitchen!  All you do is line a cookie sheet with the waffle pretzels, place a Rolo candy on each pretzel.  Bake them at 250 degrees for five minutes.  Pull them out of the oven and place a pecan half on top of each Rolo and press gently.  Let them harden - and you've got pure joy!  Have fun with these!

Bright Blossoms Card Sample

Here's a SUPER card I found on Pinterest! Are you familiar with that website? OMG, I could spend hours and hours on there - and sometimes I do! I'm not sure who the original "pinner" was of this card, but the minute I saw it, I knew I had to make it! It uses the "Bright Blossoms" stamp set, which is part of the Summer Smooches promotion going on during the month of April. The greeting is from "Friendly Phrases," and I also used the Stripes Embossing Folder! Fun, fun, fun! Mixed Bunch Card Sample

Here's one of those PERFECT cards that reminds me why I love stamping so much! Clean, simple, adorable, quick, fun, happy, PERFECT! I cased this lovely card idea from Jen Sannes, whose work I absolutely love! The design in the circles is from the "Mixed Bunch" stamp set, so hurry and get it before it's gone! The greeting is from a hostes set called "Happiest Birthday Wishes." The colors are Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, and Calypso Coral. It's always so exciting when travel documents arrive! These items were delivered by Fed Ex and I felt a tinge of excitement when they arrived! Now, after going through my travel documents, I feel BIG tinges of excitement to realize that I'll be spending time with Mickey - and hopefully Harry Potter - very soon! Thanks to my wonderful customers who helped me achieve this trip! At Disney, your dreams come true - and you all certainly made my dream come true! I'll have Tinkerbell sprinkle you with some fairy dust tonight as you sleep, and hopefully one of your dreams will come true, too!

Mixed Bunch Card Sample

Love this card! Not sure who deserves credit for this, but I did get it from Stampin' Connection and used it for several of the home workshops I've done recently. Isn't it nice? I used River Rock and Basic Black together. The stamp sets are Mixed Bunch and Sincere Salutations. The paper is the First Edition Designer Series Paper. Gotta have the Blossom Punch, too, so you can punch out that pretty flower! And don't forget the Tasteful Trim Big Shot Die, too, so you can make that nice scallop border! Easter Egg Hunt 2012

Each year, we have a tradition where we have an Easter Egg Hunt on the greenbelt behind our house! This year, however, was the Big Granddaddy-O of all Easter Egg Hunts! We had 30+ high-schoolers participate! Here they are in our garage, waiting for the green light to GO! We hid 325 eggs! Each egg had a number inside - and that number had a prize associated with it! We had lots of candy, gum, Bubbles (yes, the high-schoolers said, "SWEET!" when they won bubbles), Silly Putty, and CASH! They also had egg relays (remember that?) and played pass-the-pretzel-with-a-straw, and even played football! There were some cascarones involved, too! We served LOTS of lemonade and the kids had an absolute BLAST!
Here are some of the kids on the greenbelt hunting for eggs. Yes, even the Easter Bunny made an appearance down there in his big white suit!
Here's one of the participators claiming his prizes! What a fun afternoon we all had! HAPPY EASTER TO ALL OF YOU! There is much to celebrate, for HE IS RISEN!
