Easy Events Card Sample

Here's what 125 cards look like when you place them on a dining room table! It takes up one whole side of the table - from one end to the other! When you see this blog post, I will be in St. George, Utah, attending the Founder's Circle trip. One of the activities we engage in is the notorious "card swap." We all put on our jammies, grab our swaps, and line up from one end of the hotel to the other. We then go through the line and collect each other's swaps. It is so much fun and it's something you definitely want to be a part of. Believe me, I thought about opting out because it takes a lot of time to make 125 cards, but I'd be crying on the night of the swap if I couldn't be part of it, so I opted in! I'll bring home the swaps I get and share them with you at my next stamp camp! Here's my swap. Looks innocent enough, but IT ISN'T! It took me FOREVER to run 125 strips through the Big Shot, embossing them with our new Snow Burst Embossing Folder. Then it took me FOREVER to stamp the greetings with a Stamp-a-ma-jig, lest I get them crooked! What took REALLY long was that I had to mask the words "Merry Christmas" on the holly and berry stamp with a piece of double-stick tape! So, here's the process: Place a piece of tape over the "Merry Christmas" to mask it, then ink up the stamp, then pull off the tape, then place my Stamp-a-ma-jig in the perfect spot, and then stamp it! Then you repeat this process over again..........125 times! Then I had to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig all over again to stamp the big "Merry Christmas." Then came coloring in all the holly and berries with a green and red marker. I had to wear cheaters 'cause my old eyes weren't seeing too well to do coloring work with markers! Then it took me FOREVER to tie 125 knots - and make them look right. Then three pearls on each card........125 times.......375 pearls. Innocent card? NOT! I'm not complaining, though, 'cause look at the end result! I LOVE IT! It looks so wintery and wonderful and I'm crazy about this card - a yours truly design. Well, jeepers, I couldn't copy a card for the Founder's Circle swap now, could I? It had to be my own! Hope you like this card - you'll probably be seeing it again at a stamp camp or something!

This is such a beautiful card. I saw it in my upline's (Sherri Peters) swap from Founder's Circle and took a picture of it so I didn't know who made it. I'm so glad I came across your blog and now know who the artist is. We made this card at my Christmas card event and it was a huge hit!
