Card of the Week - June 30th

We made this card at several of the home workshops I've done recently, and it's been a fun favorite of everyone's! I did have someone ask me why you would put a sheep on a birthday card and I didn't really have a great answer other than "because it's cute"! I wouldn't mind having a sheep on my birthday card - I think he's adorable! Oh, well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right? The recipe is attached!

Decor Elements Rub-on

I am so proud of myself for getting this rub-on up! I just had to share it with you! I can mess up things like this in five seconds flat, so I'm feeling rather sassy that I did this myself! I was spitting nails while I was doing it, but as soon as I peeled away the paper and saw my wall, I instantly fell in love with it and now I want to do another one! Doesn't this look way cool? I am going to love this new line of products!

First Aid Kit

I had fun with this project! I made this as a convention gift for our group a couple of years ago so they'd be prepared for any malady that might come along! It's also a great gift for kids going off to summer camp or anyone leaving on a trip! There is no recipe, really. I used a 99 cent Johnson & Johnson first aid kit and covered the outside with a strip of designer paper. The top is card stock stamped with a cute little flower (sorry, it's a retired set that I can't remember the name of). I put a rhinestone brad in the center of a couple! The inside is filled with Tums, Motrin, Chapstick, throat lozenges, and Band-Aids. I love it! If you make this for kids, it's always a good idea to put emergency phone numbers in there, too! All supplies used and shown are from Stampin' Up!, except the medicines.

Card Kits 1 - 5

Every month I offer a card kit that you can purchase! So far, it's been a hit! You can purchase a kit containing all of the supplies needed to make ten of whatever card you choose! In some cases, you will need to have the stamp set and the inks used, but for some of the kits, I do the stamping as part of your kit! The price is $25 per kit - and it's a convenience for those who are super busy! All of the measuring and cutting is done for you - you just stamp and assemble! The kits contain all of the paper, embellishments, ribbons, envelopes, and whatever else the card calls for! I also include a color Xeroxed copy of the finished card so you can have it in front of you while you're stamping and assembling! I'm posting all of these right now for archiving purposes, and then I'll post one a month in the future! If you are interested in purchasing one of these card kits, just e-mail me at stitchingandstamping@yahoo.com! I know many of you love this convenience - it's like a stamp camp ready to go whenever you are! All supplies used and shown are from Stampin' Up!

Mini Envelope Album

I love little projects like this! It's such a unique way to showcase favorite photos from a special event! All you do is take three 3 X 3 envelopes, lick the flaps, and stick one to the back of the envelope above it, leaving the last flap unlicked! The last flap is what folds over the entire album. Then you just cut card stock to fit inside the envelopes and you can place photos on the front and back of the card stock, so this little album will hold six photos. For the little tabs on each pull-out, I used my 3/4" circle punch and then placed a brad at the top. Tape the back side of the circle down after you have placed the brad in the front to hide the back side of the brad! It looks better that way when you look at the picture on the back! I placed Crystal Effects on my sunglasses so they look shiny and real! The album gets folded up accordion style! This album could be used for birthdays, Christmas, vacations, Halloween, yada, yada, yada! Fun, fun, fun! All products used and shown are from Stampin' Up! The recipe is below!

Recipe:

Paper: Blue Bayou - 3 X 3; Mellow Moss - 3 X 3; Chocolate Chip - 3 X 3; Mellow Moss scrap; Chocolate Chip scrap; Blue Bayou scrap; River Rock - 2-3/4 X 1; Mellow Moss - 3 X 1-1/8
