Small Heart Punch Card Sample

What a cute little card! I completely stole this idea from Heather Summers! I may not be the most creative person, but I'm the world's BEST at finding great ideas! I love every single element of this card: small, hearts, buttons, colorful, and CUTE! Just wanted to share it with you today! It's all Stampin' Up!, of course! Thanks, Heather, I love ALL of your stuff!

Father's Day Card Sample!

I've been trying my best to get up in the morning and make a card, first, instead of doing "business" things right off the bat! It gets me in a good mood because I made something fun and then I can work the rest of the day feeling satisfied! It's not always the easiest plan to follow, but I'm trying! Here's one of the cards I made at 7:00 a.m. one morning - just thought you might like to see it! I copied this idea completely from Stampin' Connection - and I LOVE it! Everything on it is from Stampin' Up!, of course!

Matchbox Die Graduation Favor!

Isn't this fun? I used my Big Shot Matchbox Die to make a little matchbox and then just placed a piece of 3 X 3 card stock on top to resemble a graduation cap! All you need is a black brad and a small tassel on the top to finish it off! Of course you could use whatever card stock color and tassel that would match your school's colors! A $100 bill tucked neatly inside makes a perfect graduation gift for someone special! All supplies used and shown are from Stampin' Up! Just sharing some fun!

Elements of Style Card Sample

OMG! As soon as I saw this sample on Dawn Olchefske's blog, I JUST HAD TO MAKE ONE! It is one of the prettiest things I've ever seen! It's just a little 3 X 3 card, but I think it packs a powerful punch for being so small! I used the Elements of Style stamp set; inked up the stamp with Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, and Old Olive; and then stamped it on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. I then ran that card stock through my Big Shot using the Beautiful Butterflies die and popped it up with Stampin' Dimensionals on my 3 X 3 card stock! One little half-back pearl placed in the center - and you're melting before you know it! Thanks, Dawn! Your creativity inspires me and makes me want to keep stamping!

Hi and Bye Camp Wannastamp!

I really enjoy making cute little things like this. I hope the picture tutorial below will help you make one, too!
For the box, start with a piece of card stock measuring 9 X 6. On the 6" side, score it at 1" and 5"; on the 9" side, score it at 4" and 5". Snip the two center score lines up to where they intersect with the other score lines to make flaps, as above. Place your Sticky Strip as shown above.
When you fold your box together, make sure the little flaps get sandwiched between the two longer flaps, as shown above. If the flaps are tucked in between, they won't interfere with the drawer being moved in and out.
Your box should look like this!
For the drawer, start with a piece of card stock measuring 7-7/8 X 7-7/8. Score at 1" and 2" on all four sides. Use your Paper Snips to remove the "L" from each corner (shown above), leaving one inner square that will be used as a flap.
The above is what your drawer should look like when you've removed an "L" from each corner.
Snip one side of each flap, apply your Sticky Strip as shown above, and fold the card stock over the flaps and adhere.
The above is what your drawer should look like.
Slide your drawer into your box, as shown above.
For the easel, start with a piece of card stock measuring 8 X 4. Score it at 2" and 4".
Place Sticky Strip on two long sides of your box and one piece in the middle, as shown above.
Place your easel piece on top of the box and adhere. It should look like the picture above. Fold the card stock so that it will come forward and down on top of the box. You will then attach your 4 X 4 piece of card stock that you've embellished for the top of your box to the piece coming down! Once you've adhered your calendar down, it will keep the easel piece in place. * * * * *
Truth be known, it's little projects like THIS that keep me wanting to stamp and create. Although I love card-making - I find that energizing as well - it's the 3D items that make me so happy! I find it so inspiring to be able to create little boxes and packaging with my own clumsy hands and in my own home! I cased this desktop easel (some people call it a drawer easel) from Stampin' Connection and I'm hoping the picture tutorial above will help you make one on your own. It looks intimidating, but TRUST ME, if I can make it, SO CAN YOU! It takes everything but the kitchen sink to make, but it's well worth the effort! The recipe is below. All supplies used and shown are from Stampin' Up!, with the exception of the 2010 calendar. Recipe: Paper: For the Box: Melon Mambo - 9 X 6. On the 6" side, score at 1" and 5". Vanilla on Vanilla Card Sample!

WOW! When you create a card that uses all the same color - Very Vanilla in this case - you can get something totally amazing! I saw this card on Stampin' Connection and had to make it! The sample I saw was done all in white, which was beautiful, but I changed it to Very Vanilla. I like white, but Very Vanilla is so rich! The whole card is composed of Big Shot dies. I'm not giving this card to ANYONE! It's for ME! I just want to sit and look at it all day long, which is what I've been doing, and now I'm behind on things I need to get done, but I wanted to share it with you today! Go stamp - and add something beautiful to the world today!

Medallion Card Sample!

Hello to you! I wanted to share this card sample with you today! I cased it from Stampin' Connection and I haven't put a greeting on it yet, but I will when the right occasion comes along! I would use Certainly Celery ink for a greeting right in the bottom right corner of the Top Note piece. I thought this was so soft and pretty - I hope you'll enjoy it, too!

Awash With Flowers Card Sample!

I don't think cards can get any better than this! I melt when I look at this card! I got this GREAT card idea from my friend Heather Klump. You've heard me mention her before - the cute gal who drives tanks for the military? She also makes stunning cards and her creativity just blows me away! I've often told her that I wish I could live inside her brain - I think that could be my happy place! All supplies used and shown are from Stampin' Up! Just wanted to share it today!

The Beautiful Blogger Award!

WOO HOO! My friend Robin Owen has given me a Beautiful Blogger Award! I'm wondering who started all of these "blog awards," but they're sure fun! I'm supposed to spread the love, but with this award, you're also supposed to tell everyone ten things about yourself that they probably don't know, so I'll give it a try. I have such a BIG MOUTH, there really isn't too much about me that people don't know, but I'll try! 1. One of my favorite things to eat for lunch is to open a can of tuna, spread it on a cracker, then add chopped onion, chopped tomato, grated cheese, and a slice of jalapeno. That's a lot to put on a little cracker, but I sure have fun trying to get it all on there! I actually CRAVE this sometimes and nothing will do until I can have my tuna for lunch! Weird, huh? 2. I actually like eating jalapenos for a snack! 3. I love spicy food. If your nose doesn't run and it doesn't hurt while you're eating it, then it's not worth eating, as far as I'm concerned! 4. I'm an American Idol addict. If you call me during American Idol, I WILL NOT ANSWER THE PHONE! 5. I go to bed very early! I'm usually hitting the sack by 9:00 p.m. every night - and I don't care what any of you think - I LIKE going to bed early! 6. I'm married to the most incredible man in the world. He puts up with me and my stamping addiction. He just seems to "understand" me better than anyone else in the whole wide world. I'm keeping him! 7. I always have the best intentions to exercise, but I usually just can't seem to get there. It's probably because I saw an adorable card on Splitcoast that I just have to try out first! But then there's another one, and then another one, and, well, I'll start exercising tomorrow! 8. I'm a very sensitive person! Wish I could change that about myself and could grow a tougher hide, but at the age of 52 (gosh, almost 53), I think it's gonna stick! That's okay, we have to be who we are, right? You know what, though? I'd rather be sensitive than to be a cold, hard, uncaring person! 9. In my younger days, I used to be a court reporter! I would sit in depositions, swear people in, and then take down testimony on one of those nifty little machines that has fewer keys than the alphabet and then produce the transcript. It was an exciting job that kept me on my toes, and at one point I felt that I could perform back surgery because I'd heard about it so many times - which is a far cry from cutting paper and getting ready for my next stamp camp, but I'M HAVING WAY MORE FUN NOW and I find being a demonstrator to be far more rewarding, actually! 10. I'm dreading the day that my kids leave home. I KNOW, I KNOW! Many of you have told me that by the time they DO leave home, I'll be ready, but I just can't see that happening. They are the apples of my eye and I wouldn't mind if we all lived here together forever! Ask me in two years if I still feel that way! I think I will. Okay, I'm passing the beautiful blogger award on to: www.simpleandsincere.com. You all know I love simplicity in card-making - you just can't go wrong, and everyone enjoys a quick card that's still elegant and classy!

Lattice Die Card

OMG! Well, there are cards, and then there are CARDS! My friend Katherine Langner told me she saw this card on someone's blog and I had to drop everything and make it! Took a little longer than I expected and was a little more tedious than I thought, but I'm so glad I took the time to make it because NOW I HAVE IT and I can just look at it and smile! That's what card-making does for me - it just makes me feel good! What a beauty, Katherine! Any more great cards you find like this, you just let me know!

Flight of the Butterfly Card Sample

Here's a great card sample that would suit so many occasions! I originally stamped this card all in Regal Rose, but at Ginger Dawson's home workshop on Friday night, one of her friends stamped it in Chocolate Chip and Regal Rose, and I fell all over it! You can NEVER go wrong with pink and brown! I used the Flight of the Butterfly and Birthday Bliss stamp sets. I cased this card from Stampin' Connection and wanted to share it with you today. Have a SUPER day - and go stamp something cute!

Happy Mother's Day

Look what my sweet family did for Mother's Day! I've been begging for a new coffee maker for months and months, so they gave me a wonderful new Cuisinart coffee maker - the cool kind that grinds the beans right before you drink a rich, full cup of coffee! The kids gave me a sweet "mother's love" necklace from James Avery and a BIG, dense chocolate cake! To top it all off, I got a nice amount of cash (my favorite thing to get) to spend on whatever I want! I can see some new stamp sets in my immediate future! I feel extremely fortunate to have such a loving family. They accept me just the way I am (and that's kinda hard to do!) - so this is where I love to be and this is where I belong! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL OF YOU!

Baby Card Sample!

Ahhhhh, isn't this sweet? I love to stamp baby things! I find the colors and the softness to be so soothing ! I love the big embossed polka dots on this card! I cased this card from Stampin' Connection, which is a site dedicated to Stampin' Up! demonstrators. I sent this card to Kelly Frnka, one of the demonstrators in The TOPICS! who just had a little baby boy! I know this would be so cute in Pretty in Pink, too! Thought I'd share it with you today!

Happy B-Day Simply Scrappin' Card Sample

Okay, ISN'T THIS FABULOUS? I totally cased this card from Andrea Walford's blog today! As soon as I saw it, I was all over it! It's just my kind of card! What a terrific way to use up all those little designer paper scraps you have - so the possibilities are endless with this card design! Thank you, Andrea! You've made my stampin' day totally HAPPY! The Kraft card stock (soon to be called Cookie Crumb) is cut to 11 X 4-1/4 and the little designer paper rectangles are 2 X 1-1/2, just to save yourself some frustration! STAMP ONWARD THROUGH THE FOG, but it's a good fog!
