2009 Double-Coaster Calendar!

HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVE! With 2009 just around the corner, I thought I'd share the cute double-coaster calendar we made at my Very Merry Open House - a perfect stocking stuffer or gift for this past Christmas! I used the Summer Picnic Designer Paper, the "Enjoy Every Moment" stamp set (P. 58), and the "Big Deal Numbers" stamp set (P. 155). The ink colors are Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, and Old Olive! The ribbon is the 5/8" Old Olive Grosgrain, and the brad is our Filigree Designer Brad! All supplies used and shown are from Stampin' Up! - the most awesome rubber-stamp company in the world! I WISH YOU A VERY WONDERFUL AND HAPPY NEW YEAR! We have more GREAT stamping coming up in 2009! Be there, or be square!

Thank-You Notes for Christmas!

So many of you LOVED the punched-out Santa we made just recently at a stamp camp! I've taken that same idea and made the simplest, but cutest, thank-you notes for all of our Christmas presents! Just use our precut and scored notecards, cut a strip of Old Olive card stock to 1/2", stamp "Thank You" from the "Holiday Blitz" stamp set, and then put one of those cute, cute, cute Santas off to the side and you've got a spectacular thank-you note for all of your holiday gifts -and it was quick! The instructions for the punched-out Santa can be found in an older November post below. All supplies used and shown are from Stampin' Up!

A Christmas Cardinal

I love this little guy - and he's made from punches! I wheeled the "So Swirly" jumbo wheel on the Kraft card stock, on the Mellow Moss card stock, and on the Real Red card stock! I also sponged all around the bird with Chocolate Chip ink. The recipe is below. All supplies used and shown are from Stampin' Up!
Recipe:
Paper: Kraft - 8-1/2 X 5-1/2; Mellow Moss - 5-1/2 X 5 (and then I used the "Top Note" die from The Big Shot); Real Red; Basic Black; Summer Sun
Stamps: So Swirly Jumbo Wheel (P. 198); Many Merry Messages (P. 139)
Inks: Versamark; Mellow Moss; Real Red; Chocolate Chip
Miscellaneous: Chocolate Chip Wide Grosgrain Ribbon; Top Note Die; Jumbo Wheel Handle; Stampin' Sponges; Bird's Body - 1-3/4" Circle Punch; Wide Scallop Punch (once you've punched the circle for the body, you take a small bite out of it with the Wide Scallop Punch); Tail - Folk Heart Punch (this punch is retired, but you can use many different punches to resemble a tail); Wing - Folk Heart Punch (I cut the Folk Heart in half); Face - 3/4" Square Punch (glued on and then rounded with scissors); Beak - 1/4" Square Punch; Uniball Signo White Gel pen for the eye; Stampin' Dimensionals

Merry & Bright Gift-Card Holder

I love this little snowman, and this gift-card holder is quick and easy to make! This is one of the projects we made at Camp Wannastamp HO HO HO! The picture tutorial below will show you the steps involved! The recipe is below, too! All supplies used and shown are from Stampin' Up!, with the exception of the gift card, of course! Have fun making a bunch of these!
Once you have cut and scored your paper, place Sticky Strip right along the score line on the short edge.
After you've applied your Close to Cocoa panel on the front, punch a 1/8th-inch hole about 1/4th of an inch down for your ribbon.
Thread your Pretty in Pink Grosgrain Ribbon through the hole.
Begin to slide your gift card down into the holder, which will also move the ribbon down to the bottom of the holder.
Tie a knot at the top of the holder.
When you pull the knot up, up pops the gift card inside! Yippee - it's so much fun!
Recipe: Paper: Pink Pirouette - 5 X 3-1/2 - scored at 2-1/4" and 4-1/2"; Close to Cocoa - 3-1/4 X 2; Whisper White scrap
Stamps: Merry & Bright (P. 37) Inks: Basic Brown; Regal Rose
Miscellaneous: Sticky Strip; 1/8" Circle Punch; Pretty in Pink Grosgrain Ribbon - 14-1/2" long; Wide Oval Punch; Stampin' Dimensionals; Blender Pens; 2-Way Glue Pen; Dazzling Diamonds Glitter; Paper Piercer with Mat; Pretty in Pink Brads (4)
