Pumpkin Punch Card

There was a request that I post this card first on my blog from the Howl-O-Ween Camp Wannastamp this past weekend! We had fun! If you didn't come - you should have! At first, people were intimidated by this card, but it ended up being everyone's favorite! It could easily be changed to say "Happy Thanksgiving," too! Simple Christmas Card

I am gearing up for my biggest event of the year - the annual Christmas Card Workshop! Shelli Gardner's Christmas Card Swap!

Wow! There are some things in life that are soooo special - and this is one! During the Founder's Circle trip to Utah, we engaged in a Christmas card swap - and Shelli Gardner was in the swap! Shelli Gardner, the cofounder and CEO of Stampin' Up! - the cute gal who is always pictured on the inside cover of all of the catalogs and mini catalogs! This is her Christmas card swap - stamped by her - her signature is even on the back! I know I'll hold on to this card for a long time! How often do you get a swap from Shelli? My point exactly! Her card is using the new stamp set "A Cardinal Christmas" in the Holiday Mini Catalog! The trip was incredibly wonderful and fun - first class all the way - but there's no place like home!

Halloween Refrigerator Magnet

Crash! Bang! Ouch! I hope Hurricane Ike wasn't too rough on you. He messed with my roof and now I'll need a new roof, but I'm so glad he's gone! He wore out his welcome in this town!

I get so excited every year when I get to pull out my Halloween refrigerator magnets! I have several - Halloween is one of my favorite stamping occasions! This is such an easy project - and it makes such a cute gift to give someone because they get to enjoy it year after year! This square of Whisper White card stock is 4 X 4 and the Really Rust card stock is 4-1/4 X 4-1/4! I stamped a Halloween scene - and this particular one uses several retired sets, but you can make your own using current sets! It may not show up in the picture, but I have Dazzling Diamonds scattered all through the "Happy Fright Night" saying, so it dazzles! Since it will be on the fridge, I'm protecting it by laminating it, and then I placed self-adhesive magnets on the back! It's getting close to time to put this on my fridge! It won't be long till the trick-or-treaters are knocking! Have fun with this - and I can't wait to see what Halloween scene you come up with! Film Canister Halloween Necklaces

Well, isn't this fun? It's an empty film canister, for Pete's sake! The Whisper White card stock is approximately 3-1/2 X 2 and has been stamped for Halloween! I applied the card stock to the film canister with Sticky Strip. Then poke a hole in the lid with an ice pick (don't let the little ones do this step) and then thread plastic lanyard Craft Lace (Wal-Mart) through the hole and tie a knot underneath the lid. I placed three colorful plastic beads on the lanyard in Halloween colors! This makes such a fun project for the kiddos. And, yes, I would actually put Halloween candy inside - a couple of pieces of bubble gum works perfectly or a small packet of candy corn is cute, too! It's just for fun, folks, it's just for fun. We made these at a Halloween camp several years ago and everyone loved it! All supplies used and shown are from Stampin' Up!, except the film canisters, the plastic lanyard Craft Lace, and the plastic beads. If you visit the film department of your local Walgreens, they have tons of these film canisters and they will be very happy to give them to you!

Cut out the bottom center all the way past the two intersecting score lines. This allows the holder to bend.

Using your paper piercer, pierce two holes in the bottom outer sections and then place two brads there. The brads don't actually hold the notecard holder together - they are simply an embellishment.

Place a small amount of Sticky Strip over the backs of the brads and extend it down about a half-inch. The Sticky Strip is what actually holds the notecards in.

After you remove the backing of the Sticky Strip, be careful to position the flaps where they will leave a small pocket to accommodate the notecards.

This is the fun part! Punch out three 1/2" circles of designer paper and adhere them to the center of each pocket! Cute, cute, cute!

Now you'll apply your 5-1/4 X 1 piece of designer paper to the front, as well as three more 1/2" circles of designer paper. It's coming together now!

Once I find the center where I'll apply my ribbon, I like to put a small piece of Sticky Strip on the designer paper to hold my ribbon right where I want it.

Then I add my nice little embellishment on top of the ribbon! The embellishment is raised up with Stampin' Dimensionals! Then I sit back and look at this and realize there's NO WAY I'm going to give it away - I'm keeping it for ME!

Bella Rose Box in a Bag Tutorial

Bella Rose Card Holder

Here is the Bella Rose Card Holder we made at my stamp camp this past weekend that matches the four Bella Rose cards we made! I love it - and it looks beautiful sitting on my desk! I have step-by-step pictures and instructions below to show you how to make it, and there's also a recipe at the very bottom with the dimensions and colors of the paper. All supplies used and shown are from Stampin' Up!

After you have scored the paper, use your Paper Snips on the 7-1/2" side to cut the two center score lines up to where they intersect with the score lines on the 10" side.

While the paper is flat, use your SNAIL Adhesive to adhere the Bella Rose Designer Paper to the top and sides of the box.

It's hard to see in this picture, but I've placed two pieces of Sticky Strip on the two upper and outer edges of the box. If you flipped the paper over, the Sticky Strip is directly behind where you've placed the designer paper on the short sides of the box.

Once you tape it all together, the picture above is what it should look like!

Using your 1-3/8" Circle Punch, punch out a half circle in the front and center of the holder. This makes it easier to grab a card when you need one!

Add your Wide Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon and tie it in a knot! If you have trouble with knots, you can visit an older post on my blog for a video tutorial on how to master this!

Using a hat pin from the Pretties Kit, thread two crystal beads and two pearl beads onto the hat pin. Then slide it through your knot to secure it in place.

Using two Mini Glue Dots, adhere your half-back pearls onto the Wide Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon - and VOILA! - you've got a gorgeous Bella Rose vintage-looking card holder to place your beautiful Bella Rose cards in!

Bella Rose Cards

We made these cards at my Bella Rose Camp Wannastamp this past weekend - and they'll also serve as my Card of the Week! New Catalog Open House - In Colors Sampler

I love cute, tiny little things! This is the "In Color" sampler we made at my New Catalog Open House! Everyone stamped the new "In Color" inks on Whisper White card stock and then punched them out with our tag punch! We then punched out the "In Color" card stock samples; and then punched out all of the "Bella Rose" Designer Papers to have as a quick reference! We then thread them onto a loose-leaf binder ring. Wish you could have come! WE HAD FUN! If you're looking for a cute little somethin' to give a stamper friend, samplers like this are always a good idea! Wouldn't it make a cute stocking stuffer? New Catalog Open House - Little Birthday Box

On the 9" side, cut the score lines until they intersect with the score lines going across. One little section on the end gets entirely removed. It only takes two pieces of Sticky Strip to hold the box together!

Here's one of the items we made at my New Catalog Open House! I love how little it is - and I also love how the Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze colors POP! It's perfect for putting some little candies in there, like Jolly Ranchers! I can see this as a great Halloween treat by changing the colors to Tangerine Tango and More Mustard and putting some little Tootsie Rolls in it! Card of the Week - August 18th

This thank-you card was sent to me by Karrilyn, a member of The TOPICS!, and I melted when I saw it! I think it's beautiful - and I love the fact that you can change the greeting to ANYTHING and it works perfectly - a great all-purpose card! I recognize the swirls in the background as Stampin' Up! stamps, but I can't recall or locate the stamp set name (sorry!). If any of you out there know what it is, let me know, and I'll update my blog so everyone else will know, too! For the Baroque Motifs (P. 120) swirl in the forefront, Karrilyn used white embossing powder to make it stand out! Very elegant! She used the Ticket Corner Punch (P. 188) on the greeting and sponged Groovy Guava around the edges! The colors of card stock are Groovy Guava and Whisper White. This card is a winner, Karrilyn! Votive Decoration

This is a project we made several years ago at a camp, and it was a big hit! We made one for each of the four seasons. With fall approaching, I thought you'd like to see the autumn one! With the candle flickering, it looks so pretty! I'm sorry the picture is so yellow. We used the "ink and roll" technique on this project (a/k/a rock and roll), which is where you ink up your image in a lighter color and then roll the edges of the image in a darker coordinating color. For instance, I inked up a leaf in More Mustard first, and then rolled the edges in Really Rust; or I inked up a leaf in Mellow Moss first, and then rolled the edges in Old Olive. It won't hurt or damage your ink pad - I promise! The darker color absorbs the lighter color on your pad. It gives you a very realistic-looking image! The recipe is below. Cute Little Purses!

Aren't these cute? The black and white purse is one that I received from Connie, a demonstrator in The TOPICS!, and the blue and black purse is a 3-D convention swap that I received! They make such cute little favors and can be changed to accommodate any theme you might need! The black and white purse (Polka Dots & Paisley stamp set) is 4-1/2 X 1-1/2; scored at 1-3/4" and 2-3/4". Connie used Sticky Strip at the top to attach the purse together. The Black Gingham Ribbon is stuck to the Sticky Strip. The blue and black purse (Boho Friend Wheel) is 5-1/2 X 1-5/8"; scored at 1-3/4", 2-3/4" and 4-1/2". The card stock folds down over the front to create the purse flap. A piece of black card stock was adhered to the flap and both pieces were corner-rounded. Two 1/8" holes were punched in the top to accommodate the ribbon. Don't forget to tape a Hershey Nugget to the bottom! Once you make one of these cute little purses, you'll want to make 50! They're just easy and fun to make! A Manly Man's Card!

I sent this card to my brother-in-law for his birthday! I think it's a nice manly man's card! Being from Texas, I just had to have the "Bronc Buster" stamp set! If you're from Texas, I think you need it, too! Now if you're from Houston, you definitely need to have this set! We have the largest rodeo in the world here once a year, and "Bronc Buster" and "Wanted" fit the bill, wouldn't you say? When I look at this card, I want to say, "Ride 'em, Cowboy"! Christmas Album

I love taking paper, adding some stamps and embellishments, and then having a customized album that can be for any theme! This is a Christmas album that we made at a stamp camp several years ago. When I entered a WOW Swap on the Bermuda Cruise trip, I made another one of these albums to swap. It's a great way to store photos without having to do a big scrapbook (although that would be fun, too, right?)! The Real Red card stock in the album looks like it's dirty or wet, but that's the Clear Envelope creating a shadow. All supplies used and shown are from Stampin' Up!
